Welcome! If you are interested in learning more about our congregation, this section will give you an overview. We’d be happy to talk with you about any questions that aren’t answered here. Feel free to call the office at 410-889-2001, or visit us for a worship service any Sunday morning at 10am. We look forward to meeting you!
Who We Are
Like any community, ours has a personality. While some churches are traditional and formal, and some are modern and technology-savvy, RPPC is neither one nor the other. We seek to take the best of tradition and blend it with a bit of creativity, innovation, technology where it’s useful and, hopefully, a whole lot of love and grace. We are a welcoming and positive bunch. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. In fact, laughter is a regular part of worship and other gatherings. Being a smaller congregation allows our members to be very hands-on in worship and in church life. We encourage everyone to come as they are and appreciate the unique gifts of all our members and friends.
When you enter the building, you will be greeted by a member of our congregation and given a worship bulletin and announcement sheet. These will guide you through our service and let you know what fellowship, service or learning activities are upcoming for our congregation.
Children are welcome at all RPPC worship services. We have noticed that young children are most likely to follow the actions of the service if they sit up front where they can see. Any parent who feels the need to leave the sanctuary with their children may also go to the Fellowship Room and listen to the service via the sound system. We also have a nursery room where childcare is provided.
You will notice that our congregation’s dress is quite diverse, with people dressed in everything from jeans to suits based on their preference. We encourage you to wear what you find comfortable. We welcome you as you are.
When you visit RPPC, you will be welcomed as a respected guest. You will not be singled out, asked to stand before the congregation, or asked to come forward.
On Sunday mornings, parking is available on both Roland Ave and Upland Rd. You may enter the sanctuary though the doors facing Roland Ave or via the doors facing Upland Ave.
