1. Seeing Jesus in the Crowd
• Each character in today’s passage—disciples, the blind man, Zacchaeus—wants to see Jesus. Who do you identify with most, and why?
• What “crowds” or distractions in your life make it difficult to focus on or connect with Jesus?
2. Obstacles and Spiritual Blindness
• Jesus tells the disciples what’s going to happen in Jerusalem, but they don’t understand. Have you ever struggled to see God’s purpose in your life, even when it seemed obvious later?
• What things—internal or external—are currently blocking your spiritual vision?
3. The Courage to Call Out
• The blind man shouted louder even when others told him to be quiet. What gives you the courage to persist in your faith?
• Are there moments when you’ve had to shout for mercy in your own way?
4. Zacchaeus and the Sycamore Tree
• Zacchaeus climbs a tree to see Jesus. Pastor Mark invited us to consider the “trees” that help us see Jesus more clearly. Who or what are those “trees” for you?
• How might you be a “tree” for someone else seeking Jesus?
5. Grace that Sees Us
• Pastor Mark said, “Even when I don’t see it, I trust that Jesus sees me, sees us, and loves us.” How does that statement speak to your heart today?
• How can we as a church help people feel seen, loved, and welcomed?
